Narrator: George's tree had everything a tree has including a homing pigeon in his new home.
Curious George: (chattering)
Doorman: (sweeps with a broom) Oh, look at this! Look at this! (sweeps with a broom)
Hundley: Huh? (barks)
Man with the Yellow Hat: Wow, that's a lot of dirt.
Doorman: I left Hundley in charge, and when I came back, dirt everywhere.
Doorman: If only I spoke dachshund.
Man with the Yellow Hat: I wish you spoke pigeon. (elevator bell dings) A homing pigeon's been living on our balcony for...
Doorman: Little blue pigeon with a yellow tag?
Man with the Yellow Hat: Yeah. You've seen it, too?
Doorman: (laughs) That's Compass! I thought he was lost forever.
Man with the Yellow Hat: And I thought the pigeon would be happier on the balcony if it had a small tree to... Oh, no. Oh... Bowling ball-- what?
Doorman: If one of us spoke dachshund, I bet this wouldn't have been a surprise.
Man with the Yellow Hat: George? Where are you?
Curious George: Ooh. (chattering)
Man with the Yellow Hat: Is that... a tree?
Narrator: George had never felt prouder. Now that he had the perfect home, the bird could live here forever.
Curious George: (chatters "ta-da")
Doorman: Compass! Good to see you! Yeah, Compass is an "almost-homing" pigeon. He won't admit he has a week sense of direction.
Curious George: (chatters)
Man with the Yellow Hat: George, the doorman is the pigeon's friend. He came to take him home.
Curious George: (chattering)
Man with the Yellow Hat: To his real home.
Curious George: Oh...
Doorman: Everybody, look who's home!
Man with the Yellow Hat: See? He's back where he belongs.
Curious George: Oh... Coo, coo, coo.
Compass: (cooing) (dreams about another animal with marking an "X")
Man with the Yellow Hat: I bought it for birds to sit in so you can draw them.
Curious George: Aha!
Man with the Yellow Hat: Nice effort, George, but birds want to sit in a real tree.
Curious George: (groans)
Man with the Yellow Hat: Compass. Look, a real tree for you. Make yourself at home.
(Compass flies onto the trees)
Curious George: Ah! Oh. (chatters)
(Compass dreams about two more animals with marking an "X")
Narrator: The pigeon still didn't know what George was, but he sure made a good tree.
Boy #1: Curious George is a monkey, so he can do things that you can't.
Boy #2: He built a weird tree for the pigeon that actually stayed up.
Man: Come on in, have a seat. We're going to build something called a cantilever. It's an extension of a structure and is only connected at the base. I want to see how far you guys can build a cantilever off of the table using cardboard.
Girl: We put them on top of each other, but not all the way so they would stay on. It's sticking out further, because we put more weight on... on the other side. (giggling)
Girl: Me and Jamarius started to overlap, because we saw if we overlap them, we get it to stick really long. We can build our own cantilevers.
