Man with the Yellow Hat: Jimmy is playing basketball at school today! Why don't you go with him and watch?
Narrator: George and Jimmy walked to the school gym! George looked around to the gym amazing! What a nice place for a monkey to swing and play.
Mr. Nicholas: Who's that fellow with you?
Narrator: Asked Mr. Nicolas the Coach.
Jimmy: This is my friend, George.
Narrator: Jimmy said. He came to watch the game.
Mr. Nicholas: Okay!
Narrator: Said Mr. Nicholas.
Mr. Nicholas: I'll have to get a whistle, but I lost my own. Looks like your team needs one more player. Bonnie is sick, I'll hold on to this uniform.
Jimmy: Couldn't George take his place, Mr. Nicholas?
Narrator: Asked Jimmy. Mr. Nicholas looked at George.
Mr. Nicholas: I don't see why not.
Narrator: He said and walked off.
Jimmy: Put on Bonnie's uniform, George!
Narrator: Said Jimmy, and he went to the court. George got dressed. (Curious George zooms past) Suddenly, he stepped on something hard. It was the coach's lost whistle. George picked it up. Soon, the coach came back with a new whistle.
Mr. Nicholas: Let's get started!
Narrator: He called!
Mr. Nicholas: When I blow twice, (blows his whistle) the game starts. When I blow once, (blows his whistle) the game stops.
Narrator: George was listening. Both teams took their positions. Jimmy's team were red and the other team were blue. Mr. Nicholas came twice, (whistle blows) and the game started. One red player passed the ball and Jimmy got a basket. (people cheer) The crowd cheered. Now George blew his whistle once, (whistle blows) the game stopped. Then, George blew his whistle twice, (whistle blows) and the game started again.
Mr. Nicholas: What's going on?
Narrator: Shouted the coach.
Mr. Nicholas: Who's blowing that whistle?
Narrator: He was angry.
Player #1: Maybe that little monkey!
Narrator: Said one of the players.
Player #2: Yeah!
Narrator: Said another player.
Player #2: Suddenly, George was out at again.
Player #3: There he is!
Narrator: Yelled someone else. George was scared. It was time to get away. He ran across the court, climbed up the steel girder and hid behind the back board. The game went on. (whistle blows) It was nearly the end of the game. There were only a few seconds left. Jimmy's team needed one more basket to win. Jimmy dribble the ball closer to the basket. The blue team try to stop him. Time was running out.
Player #4: Keep the ball, Jimmy!
Narrator: They shouted. Jimmy ain't carefully and shot. (Jimmy throws the ball through the air) The ball went high, but the shot was not good of. George knew what to do. Quickly, he jumped down just in time to grab the ball and shoot it into the basket. The crowd cheered.
Jimmy: Hooray for George!
Narrator: Shouted Jimmy.
Jimmy: We won!
Narrator: Then the coach came over.
Mr. Nicholas: You caused enough trouble.
Narrator: He shouted.
Mr. Nicholas: Gimme back that whistle!
Jimmy: The coach!
Narrator: Said Jimmy.
Jimmy: George was the one to help us win!
Mr. Nicholas: Come and think what we did!
Narrator: Said Mr. Nicholas then he smiled.
Jimmy: Good work, George!
Man with the Yellow Hat: Time to go home, George!
Narrator: Said the man with the yellow hat.
Mr. Nicholas: George can play here any time.
Narrator: Said the coach.
Mr. Nicholas: But I'll do the whistling.
Narrator: Then George and his friend got into their little blue car and drove off. (the car drives away)
