Jim Petrie (2 June 1932, Kirriemuir - 26 August 2014) was a British comic artist. He is most notable for drawing 2,000 episodes of Minnie the Minx, a comic strip featured in The Beano, after taking over from the strip's original artist Leo Baxendale in 1961. He retired in January 2001 after almost 4 decades contributing to the comic and made an appearance in his 2000th and final strip. The comic strip was taken over by Tom Paterson.

A decade later, in 2011, he briefly returned from his retirement to do one more strip, featuring Fatty Fudge. This became the last time that Jim Petrie drew a comic strip.

Petrie passed away in August 2014, aged 82.
